Roger Wilco Mark Ic is an enhanced version of the original Roger Wilco Mark I and is
compatible with it and all prior releases.  They feature some bug fixes since Mark Ia 
(read CHANGES.TXT for more info).

This Readme file is short because most of Roger Wilco's documentation and help
is maintained online at our website: http://www.rogerwilco.com


LICENSE 

We have removed the need to register for a full-use license when using Roger Wilco.
Starting with 0.54 (a Mark Ic beta), Roger Wilco should work in an unlimited manner
without this step being taken.  We hope you continue to enjoy using Roger Wilco.


TECH SUPPORT 

We rely on our Support Web Page as the first level of help for users who are having trouble.

If you are having trouble getting Roger Wilco to work, click on the Support Web Page button 
on the About tab or on the first pane of the Configure Wizard (accessed through the
Adjust Tab).  Our Troubleshooting Page documents how to configure a great many soundcards
and describes in detail different possible problems and their solution.  Directing all
our users to visit it first helps us manage our technical support.  Sadly, our ability to 
offer personal support by email is modest, as free software tends to breed a large user base.


The basics to keep in mind are:

1.  RW does not work with all soundcards -- check the website's Soundcard Compatibility Page for notes on your own
2.  When in doubt, get the latest drivers for your soundcard and disable legacy audio devices and emulation modes under the Device Manager


Roger Wilco's other Help buttons offer context-sensitive help where needed.
