Truck Race at Dover

This week the SRIL Truck series raced at Dover, Delaware. Ryan was the top qualifier with fellow TI members qualifying 3rd and 4th.

Ryan jumped out to lead the early laps with all trucks tightly lined up. Kent H. took over the lead on lap 4 and maintained a fast pace until his first pit stop. Ryan and Scott decided to pit at regular intervals to try and avoid long runs on worn tires. A caution would have screwed that strategy, but they got lucky and raced green the entire race. All of Team Impact's members led several laps at one point or another. After the final pit stop, Ryan and Scott swapped the lead a few times with Scott edging out Ryan in the final laps. They finsihed 1-2 (wtg Traceys!) with Kent third and fellow TI member Steve in 5th. Top 5's all around for the team and a great caution free race. Team Impact is on a roll!

All 3 Truck drivers remain in the top 5 in points.

Busch Race at Phoenix

This week the SRIL Busch series visited Phoenix Int'l Speedway in Arizona. Scott won the pole, edging out Ryan by 5/100 sec with Steve qualifying 6th.

Scott took off as soon as the green flag waved with Ryan on his bumper. Ryan took over the lead on lap 23 and led until a caution forced everyone to pit. Randy M gained the lead during the pit stop and never looked back. Ryan had troubles soon after pitting and limped home in 7th place. Steve found himself in 5th when all was said and done, and Scott finished 3rd.

Both regular Busch series drivers are in the top 5 in points, and all 4 are in the top 10.

Truck Race at I-70

This week the SRIL Truck series visited I-70 Speedway in Odessa, MO. Chris H snagged the pole with Team Impact qualifying 2nd, 4th and 5th.

Ryan led 80 of the 150 scheduled laps of the race. Scott led for 5 laps when he didn't pit during the early caution on lap 12. We could not confirm nor deny the rumor that his crew was chowing down on some of the local cuisine and not prepared in the pits. Steve struggled in practice but persevered to finish 6th, Scott finished 4th, and Ryan won his 5th SRIL race in a row in near record time. Congratulations Ryan! Good job!

All 3 Truck series drivers remain in the top 5 in points.

Ryan Again at Texas

This week the SRIL Busch series visited Texas Motor Speedway. Steve won the pole with fellow TI members qualifying 2nd, 3rd and 5th. Another first for Team Impact - all 4 qualifying in the top 5. Great start!

All 4 TI members took turns leading the pack and it was all TI for the first 8 laps. They enjoyed racing/jockeying as 1, 2, 3, 4 for those laps. Then Steve had issues soon after which left him with some damage and somewhat less competitive. Chuck was leading on lap 22 when his handling went away and he starting falling positions. Scott got a speeding penalty during green flag pit stops later in the race that cost him a lap. That left Ryan as the sole chance to prove TI strong, and prove it he did! He pulled off a monumental pit stop during the green flag pitting, vaulting him from 4th to 1st. Chuck finished 6th, Steve 5th, Scott 4th, and Ryan never looked back and finished with the win as one of only 3 cars on the lead lap. Way to represent the team guys!

Both regular Busch series drivers are in the top 5 in points, and all are in the top 10.
